Michelle Cooney is an artist living in East Providence, RI. Whimsical landscapes are home to bizarre creatures in her watercolor paintings and traditionally drawn zines. Throughout her artwork, color choices and composition are as emotionally charged as the stories within. Her characters wage war against themselves, torn between having a free spirit and a heavy heart. Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in Illustration from Maine College of Art in Portland, ME.
